Overview

The Chantara is a traditional “junk” boat, 25m long and 7m wide, built completely of teak and furnished with all the modern conveniences that one could wish.

The Chantara has a main cabin that can pose as either a lounge, or a double cabin with an ensuite bathroom. The Chantara also has 3 double cabins with private bathrooms. All rooms have air-conditioning.

A shower is available outside, at the rear, and there is an additional bathroom for the crew. They all have hot water.
It can comfortably accommodate 8-10 people for a one week cruise, however, for a single day trip, the maximum capacity is 50 people.

The boat has a kitchen, a bar, and a dining room with a large table that can seat 12 people easily.

The sun beds are copious with 75m2 of deck and are arranged with mattresses and traditional Thai cushions.

Equipped with a mainsail and a 380-horsepower engine, The Chantara can sail in any weather and offers comfort as well as unique cruises in the Gulf of Thailand.

Charter Options:

Angthong Marine Park:

Departure is at 9am, breakfast will be served during the voyage.

2 to 3 stops are possible depending on the amount of time spent per activity.

One of the possible stops is on a deserted beach with available kayaking.

Another can bring you to visit an island made up of magnificent views of the surrounding islands. It also has a beautiful view of a lagoon seated inside the island.

The final choice is diving (snorkeling) in the clear waters of the Gulf of Thailand in order to see a beautiful coral reef and a wide variety of colorful, tropical fish.

The cruise ends with a stunning sunset and arrival at port around 7pm.

Koh Samui:

Departure is at 8am to the south of the island in order to enjoy the shoreline, breakfast will be served en route.

The Chantara stops near Koh Taen, an island to the south of Koh Samui, so as to dive and enjoy the beaches. Lunch is served on board while sailing to explore the “Five Islands”, a group of islands that act as a bird sanctuary.

A final stop for swimming is possible at Koh Som before returning to port at 7pm.

Koh Phangan:

The Chantara will take you on an adventure to discover the beautiful landscape around Koh Phangan, the neighboring island of Koh Samui. You can explore the colorful underwater world of Koh ma with its stunningly clear water, corals filled seabed, aboundant sea anemones, and all varieties of tropical fish.

The Chantara stops on Thong Nai Pan beach where customers will be offered to enjoy water sports (jet ski, buoy, kayak, water ski,wakeboard), massage or simply relax on this secluded bay.

Nearing the end of the journey, “adventurers” will be able to admire Koh Phangan’s rugged coastline, stunning coves, and deserted beaches while returning to Koh Samui.
A third stop possible on a private beach at Koh Phangan or at Koh Som with arrival at port at 7pm.

Sunset Cruise:

Departure is at 5pm from port.

We offer a stop for swimming or fishing at the small island of Koh Som. The Chantara leaves early in order to take advantage of the beauty of the sky around the coast of Koh Samui.

Appetizers and refreshments will be served.

We return to port around 7:30 pm after the last rays of light.

Sunset Dinner:

After the sun has set, depending on the number of people, we offer either a nearly endless buffet, or an exquisite sit-down dinner which includes a tasting menu consisting of 4 to 5 courses of Thai cuisine.

We return to port between 8 and 8:30 pm.
